Joakim Noah is mad at the Knicks as they continue to drag their feet
With Shams Charania of The Athletic previously reporting that the New York Knicks are close to releasing disgruntled center Joakim Noah using the waive-and-stretch provision, they still haven’t done so and have kept him on their roster even though they clearly don’t plan on using him this season.
Noah is understandably frustrated and posted the following on Instagram:

Noah has since deleted the post, which I don’t understand because nothing ever goes away on the internet. Unless his agent advised him to remove it.
I’m not sure what is taking the Knicks so long to get rid of Noah after he was exiled by former head coach Jeff Hornacek nine months ago.
I honestly thought the Knicks might decide to keep Noah after Hornacek was fired, but clearly they want to move on from him even though they haven’t waived him yet.
With the regular season kicking off on October 17th, the Knicks still need Noah’s roster spot for Allonzo Trier, Kadeem Allen or Tyrius Walker. So they need to make a move within the next two weeks when it comes to Noah.
Even though the Knicks moved on from Phil Jackson last year, the remnants of his biggest failure, signing Noah, will resinate with the club over the course of the next several years.
Comment below with your thoughts on how the Knicks have handled things with Noah.
