The Knicks are putting out a reliable starting five for their preseason opener
One of the biggest things to watch out for this preseason is which players will stand out and make a case to be a part of the New York Knicks’ starting five heading into the regular season.
The Knicks start off their preseason with a game against the Washington Wizards on Monday night.
I’ve already talked about what starting line-up we might see against Washington, but now things are official.
On Monday, Knicks’ head coach David Fizdale revealed that Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway Jr., Kevin Knox, Lance Thomas and Enes Kanter will start against the Wizards, via Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

If Fizdale was going to choose his best line-up in regards to who gives the Knicks he best chance to win, I think it’s this group.
Burke looked like the Knicks’ best point guard last season with the way he was able to create and score by himself.
Tim Hardaway Jr. is no doubt New York’s best shooting guard and I believe that rookie Kevin Knox has made a good enough impression to start for the Knicks during his first season. But the lottery pick will have to play well on a consistent basis.
Then of course you have Thomas who is a solid and steady player along with Kanter who had a great season last year.
Now, I do believe Fizdale will change up his starting five during the preseason in order to get different looks. I doubt we’ll see the same line-up every game.
