Bringing up the playoffs and the Knicks in the same sentence is a joke
As a fan of the New York Knicks, no one should expect them to reach the playoffs this season.
David Fizdale is a very good coach, but without Kristaps Porzingis, it’s not happening. Even with KP, the postseason wouldn’t be certain for the Knickerbockers.
Trey Kerby and Tas Melas of NBA TV had the nerve to bring up the Knicks and the playoffs in the same sentence when they talked about whether it’s true or false as to whether they’ll reach the postseason in 2019.

Now I do appreciate that Kerby and Melas were honest and said that the Knicks making the postseason won’t happen, but why even talk about it.
Is NBA TV looking for extra ratings?
This was one of the silliest things that I’ve seen on television. I know the Knicks have a big fan base, but they’re not ignorant, they know their team will be bad this season. And that’s OK.
It’s OK because Porzingis needs to rehab and come back 100 percent. And if they’re bad, they’ll have a good draft pick next spring.
It Kerby and Melas wanted to talk about the Knicks making the playoffs this season. A better statement would be, Kevin Knox can help New York make the postseason, true or false.
Now it’s still a silly thing to say, but it’s a better way of putting it.
