Billy Garrett returns to the Knicks
The New York Knicks have been making multiple roster moves this week and have now made another one.
The Knicks have signed 6-foot-5 combo guard Billy Garrett to an Exhibit 10 deal, who played his college ball at DePaul.
Garrett was on the Knicks summer league roster and was one of the top players on the Westchester Knicks last season, which is of course their G-League affiliate.
Garrett appeared in 50 games for Westchester last season and averaged 11.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
Earlier in the week, the Knicks waived Tyrius Walker and signed John Jenkins after signing and waiving Phillip Carr.
With the Knicks currently at the 20-man roster limit, they will need to waive someone to make room for Garrett.
New York will have to also open up another spot since they reportedly have a deal with Jeff Coby.
Garrett will certainly end up back in Westchester because the Knicks have plenty of guards on their NBA roster with Emmanuel Mudiay, Frank Ntilikina, Trey Burke, Allonzo Trier, Ron Baker, Damyean Doston and Tim Hardaway Jr.
