Chris Bosh is a big believer in David Fizdale
Former Miami Heat star Chris Bosh spoke with the New York Daily News on Monday night as he attended the New York Knicks, Washington Wizards preseason game at The Garden.
One of the things that Bosh talked about was the fact that he wants to play again and would be open to playing for head coach David Fizdale and the Knicks.
Of course Bosh and Fizdale were together in Miami so he’s very familiar with the Knicks’ coach.
Bosh also came out and said that believes Fizdale won’t have a problem luring a superstar player to the Knicks, according to the NY Post.
“We always tried to make it simple,’’ Bosh said. “If you’re trying to accomplish something, you have to know where you’re going. You have to have a core set of values, which [Fizdale] has. You also have to be confident. Which I know he is. You got to work hard. I know that he’s going to inspire the guys to do what they need to do on the court and off the court to get the job done. Once he inspires them, it’s on the players. That’s what great coaches do.
“We’ve had so many dinners and meetings on trying to crack the code. He brings tremendous value to the organization and he’s going to inspire guys to be great and do more than what’s expected.’’
Hopefully Bosh is right when it comes to Fiz bringing a star to the Knicks via free agency.
Fizdale’s first shot will be next summer when he has a chance to land Golden State Warriors’ all-star Kevin Durant.
If Fizdale can bring in Durant, Knicks’ fans will love him forever. Just imagine if he can bring them an NBA Championship.
