Joel Embiid ready to take the Knicks down at MSG
The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference along with the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors heading into the upcoming season so expectations are certainly high in the city if brotherly love.
One of the reasons that the Sixers are so good is because of center Joel Embiid.
While talking to the media on Tuesday, Embiid said that the Sixers will beat the New York Knicks twice at Madison Square Garden this coming season.

We were having such a nice afternoon together but then @JoelEmbiid started talking trash saying now he's going to run over the Knicks twice at MSG next year.
Fight back mode.

This isn’t exactly a bold statement from Embiid. The Knicks are rebuilding while the 76ers could end up in the NBA Finals this year. It would be a pleasant surprise if New York was able to win a game or two against the Sixers this season given how stacked they are.
If the 76ers don’t beat the Knicks, then Philly should be embarrassed.
It will be interesting to see how Knicks’ head coach David Fizdale uses Embiid’s comments to try and light a fire under his young team when both teams face off.
Honestly, there wasn’t much excitement for a Knicks-Sixers game this year, but with Embiid’s comments, things have gotten a little more interesting.
The Knicks play the Sixers for the first time on November 28th in Philly. Then they play in Philly again on December 19th. They don’t play at MSG until January 13th.
