The NBA regular season is almost here
The New York Knicks’ final preseason game is on Friday night against the Brooklyn Nets, as they prepare for next Wednesday’s regular season opener against the Atlanta Hawks.
We already know that center Enes Kanter won’t play, which makes sense. We don’t need to see any more from him. Kanter just might be the Knicks best player this season with Kristaps Porzingis out.
There are a few players I’ll be keeping an eye on against the Nets.
Here they are:
Robinson has looked good this preseason, but isn’t ready to be a full-time NBA player, which is why Knick’s head coach David Fizdale has made it clear that he will spend some time in the G League this season.
Even though Robinson will be spending time in Westchester, he will still practice with the Knicks and who knows, by the end of the season he could be a full-time NBA player.
It will be nice to see how Robinson plays as a starter against the Nets.
Ntilikina hasn’t looked great this preseason. In my opinion, he doesn’t look like he’s improved over the summer, but of course things could change during the regular season.
Fizdale mentioned on Thursday that he’ll have Ntilikina guarding some power forwards on Friday night, which will be interesting to watch.
Knox has been up and down so far, which is expected. It would be nice to see him finish the preseason strong and head into the regular season with some confidence. He’ll be starting along with Robinson on Friday.
