The Knicks season might go as planned
With the 2018-19 NBA regular season only one day away from starting, Nate Silver and the guys at Five Thirty Eight have posted their own win total projections for the upcoming season.
Without any surprise at all, they have the New York Knicks finishing with a record of 23-59, which is tied for the worst record in the league with the Sacramento Kings.
Hopefully this means the Knicks will end up with a top three pick. Then ideally they will be able to sign a big-time free agent next summer by the name of Kevin Durant.

As you can see, without any surprise at all, the Golden State Warriors are projected to have the best record in the NBA at 63-19. With the Houston Rockets right behind them.
I find it interesting that the Toronto Raptors and Utah Jazz are projected to have better records than the Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers.
I thought the Celtics were the top team in the East. At least in my opinion they are. They’re too deep to not win the conference.
When looking at the these projections, the Cleveland Cavaliers will miss the playoffs while the Detroit Pistons will clinch a post season berth.
With the Cavs no longer relevant without LeBron James, there is now an extra playoff spot up for grabs.
