Zach Lowe believes Kevin Durant ends up with Knicks
With the 2018-19 NBA season now here, everyone is making their own predictions as to who will win the NBA title, who will win the MVP award and many other typical projections that are made this time of year.
Zach Lowe of ESPN has made some interesting predictions for the Knicks.
One in particular is that the Knicks will sign Golden State Warriors star forward Kevin Durant after the season, when he has the option to become a free agent.
Of course there have been recent reports stating that there’s a serious chance of Durant playing for the Knicks next season.
Lowe made it clear in his article that no one knows what Durant will do and that’s including Durant himself. He talked about the benefit of Durant leaving for the Knicks, given the fact that he could go down as a legend in New York if he helps revive one a team that’s been down for too long.
Of course staying with the Warriors might also be more appealing to him after the season as well. All we can do is wait and see what happens.
Another prediction that Lowe wrote about as it pertains to the Knicks is that he believes that Kristaps Porzingis will play 20 games this season.
I could see KP playing, but only if he’s 1000 percent ready. The Knicks won’t push the envelope and they shouldn’t.
Last and but not least, Lowe believes the Knicks will trade veteran guard Courtney Lee. He wrote that they’ve been trying to deal Lee, but his salary isn’t the most attractive for teams.
New York can only hope that a playoff contender sees the need to trade for Lee as the season moves on.
