Knicks got it right with new city uniforms
Honestly, I wasn’t a fan of the New York Knicks’ city edition uniforms from the 2017-18 NBA season.
I thought the fireman symbol on the front was a nice touch, but to be honest, it looked silly to me.
I know some people may not agree and that’s OK.
Below is a photo of the Knicks’ city edition uniforms for this season and I love them. They kept things simple while also going with a throwback theme with the checkered outline.
The jersey was spotted in the back room of a clothing store. They must not have the OK to sell them yet since the Knicks haven’t even promoted the jerseys.

The Knicks wore similar uniforms from the 1952-1961 NBA seasons. The difference between these new jerseys and the old ones is the fact that the ” NEW YORK” and numbers on the older ones were in orange, according to SportsLogos.net.
Aside from the Knicks current home and away uniforms, I love their throwbacks that include the checkered pattern, which is why I love these.
If I had to guess, I think the Knicks will start wearing these some time in November. But we’ll have to wait and see to know when exactly they’ll be worn on the court.
