Knicks’ fans want Kevin Durant
Heading into Friday night’s game between the New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors at Madison Square Garden, Knicks’ fdid their best to lure Kevin Durant to the Big Apple due to the fact that he can opt out of his current contract next summer.
For example,, a company erected a billboard outside The Garden with Durant and Kristaps Porzingis holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
On Friday night, the Knicks chipped in by having Ashanti perform. It just so happens that Durant is a big fans of her.

The Knicks clearly know what they’re doing.
Knicks’ fans did their job by giving Durant a very warm welcome to The Garden.

It wasn’t a huge ovation, but not a single player on the Warriors received the same kind of love that Durant got from the fans.
Of course no one knows what Durant will do next summer. He did state that the billboard didn’t impress him, but then again, what else do you expect him to say? ‘I love the billboard, I’m leaving for the Knicks next summer?’
Of course he’s not going to say that.
One thing we do know is that Durant will leave New York knowing that he’s wanted. That could have an impact on his decision next summer.
