Warriors should be worried about the Knicks
The New York Knicks did their best to recruit Golden State Warriors star forward Kevin Durant when they played the Warrios at Madison Square Garden on Friday night.
Anthony Slater of The Athletic (via Bleacher Report) is reporting that the Warriors “in zero way fear the Knicks” pursuit of Durant due to the fact that they’re confident that they’re much more superior of a franchise.
This is true given the fact that the Knicks have been a dumpster fire ever since CEO James Dolan took over. While the Warriors have built a dynasty around Durant, Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.
But, there are some factors that give the Knicks a chance at landing Durant next summer.
For one, his own father is a Knicks fan. Also his business partner Rich Kleiman is a fan of the Knickerbockers.
Oh yeah, and one of Durant’s closest friends, Royal Ivey, is an assistant coach for New York.
There have also been reports that Durant is ready for a new challenge similar to LeBron James leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Knicks would be a big challenge and Durant would become an instant legend if he could help them get back to the finals.
Durant already got his rings, now he could decide to move on from northern California and take on the Big Apple.
