The Knicks need to trade Enes Kanter
New York Knicks’ center Enes Kanter has yet to really comment on being benched in favor of rookie Mitchell Robinson.
Kanter had a very strong game on Sunday night agains the Washington Wizards as he put up 18 points and 14 rebounds in over 24 minutes. Unfortunately, he was benched in favor of Robinson down the stretch with just over five minutes left.
It’s obvious Kanter isn’t happy, but he’s trying to be a professional about it. He posted a tweet with a period in it after the loss to the Wizards.

It looks like Kanter is speechless after losing his job.
Knicks’ head coach David Fizdale has made it clear that they won’t be chasing wins, so Kanter shouldn’t be surprised by the move. The Knicks aren’t playing to win an NBA title yet because they don’t have the talent to do so.
If Kanter is going to continue to come off the bench, the best move for the Knicks would be to trade him.
Kanter has been a huge cheerleader for the Knicks since coming over as a part of the Carmelo Anthony trade prior to last season.
When it comes to Mitchell, he’s been playing very well for a rookie second round pick, but he’s obviously not as good as Kanter. But it’s almost safe to say that he’ll be better in the future, which is why Fizdale has been having him play in the beginning and end of games.
It’s clear that the Knicks are starting their younger players in order to speed up their development as NBA players.
Kanter has to understand that he’s on a rebuilding team, but I’m sure it’s hard for his ego to come to grips with things.
