Is Frank Ntilikina done in New York?
New York Knicks’ second-year guard Frank Ntilikina hasn’t seen much action lately and that’s leading to an NBA insider in France to believe he could end up being traded.
You can watch two French media members talking about Ntilikina in the video below on a show called NBA Extra.
French Knicks Pod posted a translation of what was said on their Facebook page and it’s clear that insider Jacques Monclar believes Ntilikina will be traded at some point.
I’m not sure how credible Monclar is given the fact that the news media over in Europe, including France, isn’t as a reliable as it is in the United States when it comes to reports like these.
As someone who follows soccer in Europe, news outlets in Europe often report false information. I’m not saying Monclar is lying, but I would be a little skeptical.
If Knicks’ head coach David Fizdale wasn’t randomly benching guys like Damyean Dotson along with Ntiikina, I would think that Ntilikina is likely gone.
But there are only so many minutes in a game and too many guys that Fizdale wants to work into his rotations on a given night.
I also believe that with how poorly Frank has been playing on offense, Fiz doesn’t see a reason to play him and I don’t blame him.
Now of course the Knicks could be looking to trade Ntilkina, but only time with tell if that is the case. You also have to figure that if New York was trying to deal him, some NBA insiders in the U.S. would have reported it already.
