Enes Kanter was ejected after getting two quick technical fouls against the Bucks.
New York Knicks’ center Enes Kanter ended up getting two quick technical fouls during Thursday night’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
It all went down in the fourth quarter when Giannis Antetokounmpo drove to the basket and Kanter stonewalled him and Giannis fell to the ground as he lost the ball. It looked like a foul should have been called on Kanter but it wasn’t.
As Kanter went back down the court Giannis caught up to him and both players exchanged words.
That’s when Kanter was handed two technical fouls. One for his foul on Giannis, that wasn’t called until the official took a look at the replay, and the other for getting in Giannis’ face.
After the game, Kanter was asked about being ejected and he said he had no idea he was thrown out since he went back to the locker room to get stitches on his eye after it was cut open by a Thon Maker elbow.
It’s pretty funny that Kanter had no idea he was ejected. It sounds like he thought he was only going to the locker room to get stitches on his eye, which made sense.
With the game only having under 10 minutes left and the Knicks not having much of a chance to win, there wasn’t a good reason to have Kanter come back out and play. Plus he just got stitched up and likely couldn’t.
So I can understand why Kanter didn’t realize he had gotten tossed from the game.
