James Dolan is at it again
Update: A spokesperson from The Madison Square Garden Company has reached out to us with the following statement:
“Our policy is and will continue to be that if you are disrespectful to anyone in our venues, we will ask you not to return.”
At the conclusion of the New York Knicks’ 102-94 loss at the hands of the Sacramento Kings at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, a Knicks’ fan told owner James Dolan to sell the team as he walked out of the arena.
Dolan wasn’t having it, so he stopped and threatened the fan by telling him that he will ban him by asking him if he doesn’t want to come to anymore games.
The fan then responded back by asking why Dolan would ban him and stating that he was just giving his opinion. Dolan then told him that he was rude and told the guy to enjoy watching the Knicks on TV now. Dolan then instructed an employee at the stadium to hold the guy for someone named Kevin. Check the video out below from TMZ Sports.
This is just another example of how thin-skinned Dolan is and how he always has to retaliate when he doesn’t like what someone has to say about him or the way he runs the Knicks.
If Dolan is this weak he really needs to sell the team. Things are not gong to get any better, whether he bans fans for attending games or not.
I would to hear what the Madison Square Garden company has to say about this. I’ve reached out to them for a comment and will update this post if and when I get one.
One person who believes that Dolan has been given a bad rap is former NBA commissioner David Stern. Would love to know Stern’s thoughts on this.
